Configuring Xitel's INport for use with LP Recorder on Windows 10
Before you start
Check which version of LP Recorder you have by selecting About from the LP Recorder
Help menu. If your version is not 11.0.0 or higher, or the copyright date is earlier
than 2013 you should order
the upgrade to version v11.
Connect your stereo to the INport USB device and plug it into a USB port on your computer.
Start playing some music on your stereo.
Windows Control Panel Settings
Click on Manage audio devices from the Hardware and Sound section of Windows Control Panel.
Select the Recording tab.
Click on the Line - USB Audio or Line INport entry in the Recording window with your right-mouse button and click on the Set Default button. The USB Audio / INport item should show a green tick against it:
Click on the Properties button, click on the Listen tab and tick the checkbox Listen to this device:
You should be able to hear the music playing on your computer speakers. Do not proceed any further until you have this working.
Click on the Levels tab and adjust the volume slider:
You should hear the volume of the music changing. If it doesn't change when you adust the slider then you should contact your Windows support person for assistance.
If it does change the volume then keep the Levels Window open and start LP Recorder. When you adjust the slider in the Levels window you should see the LP Recorder volume slider change at the same time:
You should now be able to use LP Recorder as normal.
If at any time you see this error message when you start LP Recorder, look for the option to Let apps use my microphone in Windows Settings > Privacy Settings > Microphone. Try turning this on / off to see if it fixes the problem. It has been reported that this problem started to occur after a Windows Automatic Update,
